RYN Footwear

RYN’s primary aim and focus is to help people Walk Correctly
.
Walking is one of the easiest ways to be physically active as we can do it almost anywhere and at any time but as we tend to wear hard soles and when fashion dictates heels we become careless about the gait of our bodies and we don’t always walk correctly.

For example if you were to look at the footprints left in the sand by a barefoot person and those of a person wearing heavy shoes they would be completely different. Nowadays we tend to trudge along paying no attention to how our feet carry our body. More than likely we are doing more harm to our knees and body because the impact of our feet hitting the ground is normally too harsh on our joints. Regular shoes are not designed to support the body as they allow you to walk in a forced and rigid way. This causes people for example to walk stooping forward which usually results in bad posture, stressing of the body, and over time can cause physical damage to muscles, ligaments and joints.

The diagram below shows us the differences between RYN and a normal walking posture:

How to Walk in RYN
RYN shoes are designed with a natural curved outsole to replicate the technically correct way to walk. This 45 degree curved angle at the heel of the shoe differentiates RYN from all other trainers and specialists’ shoes on the market.

Start walking in RYN using your heel and then roll your foot to the centre (arch) and then to your toe. This creates a continuous rolling step when walking and helps to distribute the weight of the body evenly from the heel to the toe.

This natural and uneven rolling action helps you to walk straight by aligning your back and hips but it most importantly protects from sudden and harsh movements on the joints as well straightening and correcting the spine.

How RYN shoes are designed
The outsole of RYN shoes was designed with human engineering technology to comfort and correct the gait of the body as well as strengthening the muscles. The outsole is designed to balance the body by preventing leaning to one side and help the wearer walk more smoothly.

The outsole also contains a unique airbag that disperses the body weight and absorbs pressure on the feet and ankles giving the wearer a lighter feel when their feet touch the ground.

This insole of RYN shoes plays a very important part in caring for your feet. Its special 7 layer insole supports the foot’s arch, which in turn improves blood circulation around the feet.

Wearing RYN
It is recommended that you take extra care when starting to wear RYN.

Break them in slowly by walking for about an hour a day for the first week and gradually build up until you feel comfortable in them for the day.

The RYN is FDA approved as a medical device.
